We are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance Team on a full time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible to complete month end reporting, provide financial data to key stakeholders, and ensure that the integrity of financial information and data is maintained.

 Key Responsibilities of this role include :

  • Month end reporting including completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Monthly BAS and Annual FBT Return
  • Liaison between sites and Juniper Central on accounting requirements and procedures
  • Development and use of financial models to support decision making.
  • Overseeing Juniper’s ILU reporting requirements including engagement with residents committees.
  • 2IC to the Finance Manager
  • Mentoring and Supervision of the Finance Team

 Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in Business or Accounting
  • Completed or working towards completion of a Post Graduate Qualification in Accounting i.e. CPA or CA

Experience:

  • Significant experience in a similar role working within tight reporting deadlines
  • Ability to carry out complex reconciliations
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
  • Experience using Accounting ERP’s and Budgeting Tools
  • Knowledge or experience within the Age Care / Healthcare Sector (desirable)
  • Experience or exposure to Epicor Financial System and Prophix (desirable)

Skills:

  • Computer literacy including the Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to recognise and rectify system and process problems/issues
