Juniper has an opportunity for a creative individual, passionate about Learning and Development, to join our team, in the role of Training Consultant - Operational. You will thrive in this role if you have an ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and love to help people learn.
Our Training Consultants help both new and existing staff to understand and develop within their roles. They ensure essential training is available, delivered and assessed. They also develop and/or implement new programs to ensure the changing needs of the sector and those we assist are met.
A background in developing and delivering training for adults, both face to face and via the use of technology, will be required. An understanding of Aged Care, and experience delivering training programs within the sector would be very advantageous.
A Teaching or training qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be well regarded.
This is a Maximum Term, full time position, available until the end of January, 2022, due to the permanent incumbent's period of Parental Leave.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Delivery of training programs, development days and corporate orientation to staff
- Coordinate, resource and advise on staff development initiatives across the organisation
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of training initiatives
- Ensure timely and accurate training information is available when required
- Assist in the development of relevant policies and procedures
- Conduct training needs analysis for all staff across Juniper on a 6 monthly basis
- Maintain training information, systems and audit processes with sites to support site accreditation
- Adopt a consultative approach across Juniper to determine staff training and development needs
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Qualification in Health, Social Science, Training or a HR related discipline (Desirable)
- Knowledge of the aged care industry (Desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, coordinate and deliver training in a wide range of topics to meet the organisations needs
- Experience in the implementation of staff development programs within a strategic context
- Demonstrated ability to implement staff development programs
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
