We are currently seeking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join our experienced Training and Development team in the role of Training Consultant - Clinical. The successful applicant will be a key member of our team responsible for developing, delivering and implementing clinical training initiatives across Juniper.

This role is based at Juniper Central, located in Balcatta, however the ability to travel throughout the metropolitan area and to rural and remote locations to deliver training is a requirement of the role.  Flexibility around working outside of core business hours will also be required at times.

As our Training Consultant, you will embrace and lead best practice in Clinical Care. You will thrive in this role if you have an excellent understanding of nursing within an aged care setting, together with presentation, research, written and technical skills in order to meet the training needs of staff with varying backgrounds and learning styles.

This is a full time position, however part time options may be considered for the right candidate.

 Key Responsibilities of this role: 

  • Coordinate, implement and evaluate staff development initiatives based on identified needs and strategic plans
  • Ensure clinical training is of a high quality, flexible and appropriately provided across all areas of Juniper
  • Assist in the development of all relevant policies and procedures relating to training and development
  • Establish and maintain relevant industry networks and contacts
  • Support those providing training at sites through the provision of relevant resources, training and facilitation assistance
  • Review and assist with the documentation associated with clinical competency based assessments on sites

 The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: 

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Essential)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or comparable, demonstrated experience (Essential)
  • Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or community services (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating, coordinating and conducting training in a wide range of clinical topics
  • Ability to coordinate simultaneous training programs including the planning, delivery, evaluation and assessment processes
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous experience in using iCare (highly desirable)
Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have current AHPRA Registration, as a Registered Nurse?
Essential: Are you able to and available to travel on occasion within Western Australia, in order to provide training at our regional and remote sites?
Desirable: Do you have experience working within an aged care environment?
