We are currently seeking to recruit a suitably skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer to work at our Hillcrest site, located in the beautiful coastal town of Geraldton.

The purpose of this role is to provide general building maintenance services to ensure the site remains functional, safe and presentable. This will include; general maintenance of grounds, buildings, fittings and equipment.

To thrive in this role it is also important that you are patient, helpful and flexible. Juniper's Maintenance Officers contribute positively to the daily lives of the people who reside in each home, and are respectful of their needs and feedback.

On offer for the successful candidate will be a part-time position working 5 days per a week during the hours of  7.00am and 3.00pm.

 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  •  Perform maintenance duties as required while ensuring economical and safe use of Juniper’s resources
  • Maintains facilities in accordance with policies and strives to meet outcome standards related to the condition of the physical environment
  • Respects residents’ private property and their right to privacy
  • Maintaining fixed assets using appropriate trade skills, tools or outside providers as necessary
  • Applies the principles of planned preventative maintenance
  • Maintains knowledge and skills in accordance with the required competencies of the position

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: 

  • Trade qualification relevant to the construction and maintenance or buildings and equipment (desirable)
  • Understanding of current OSH and legal requirements.
  • A current C class drivers licence (required)
  • Sound experience in building maintenance and related areas.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively without supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
