Managing a Residential Aged Care home requires a special person. You will draw upon your full range of skills as you lead a multidisciplinary team of professional and support staff in the provision of person-centred, respectful and compassionate care. In addition to your outstanding people skills you will need to be comfortable using technology, experienced with managing budgets and able to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally. Juniper is a large, well established aged care organisation, able to support you well with a well-staffed team at our head office, "Juniper Central, located in Blacatta and a highly skilled Residential Leadership team available at your call.

Juniper Chrystal Halliday, is one of our newly build, state of the art facilities where no two days are the same and the positive culture you create will ultimately enhance the lives of those residing at Juniper and their loved ones. Located in Karrinyup this 120 bed facility provides both high care and dementia specific care. We are seeking to employ a strong manager and someone who is passionate and genuine about enriching the lives of our residents, whilst leading a team to provide the highest level of service in line with Juniper's Culture of Care and Core Values.

The Residential Manager is accountable and responsible for the following outcomes:

  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Managing Human Resources effectively and efficiently
  • Managing and communicating information effectively
  • Ensuring high quality care and services are delivered and that client satisfaction is achieved
  • Leading and managing motivated and engaged employees
  • Planning, monitoring and controlling financial resources, ensuring care and services are carried out within budget
  • Managing physical assets on site, information and communication
  • Planning monitoring and controlling finances
  • Managing Physical Assets effectively
  • Developing and implementing business plans in conjunction with the Area & Executive Managers
  • Minimising and Managing Risk and Injury Management
  • Maintaining Accreditation Status by successful compliance against aged care standards

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Possess a qualification in health professional qualification
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of budget and financial management
  • Demonstrated experience with managing human resources and rostering
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Understanding of the principles of change management 
  • Above average communication skills (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated time management skills, resourcefulness and initiative.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Programs and other business software.
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant Key Personnel checks including Bankruptcy and Police Clearance
