Juniper is currently looking for an experienced Clinical Governance Lead to join the team at Juniper Central, located in Balcatta. Reporting to the Executive Director – Operations, this role is responsible for proactively managing the clinical team and clinical risk in order to maintain the highest standards of care.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in clinical care senior leadership and large scale organisational system development in a complex environment. This role will liaise with management at all levels, so your ability to positively influence professional relationships, coupled with strong clinical and organisational skills will be critical to your success in this role.

Key responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Plan, develop and implement the Clinical Governance Framework and Strategy
  • Develop suitable mechanisms to assess clinical performance
  • Monitor and analyse clinical KPIs and recommend interventions
  • Ensure comprehensive investigations are conducted into incidents and complaints including implementing appropriate actions
  • Plan to ensure clinical governance meets the regulatory environment, including but not limited to the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Conduct internal audits and assist services to prepare for external audits
  • Lead and supervise the Clinical and Infection Control team
  • Engage with clients and residents to ensure a user centred design approach to clinical care


Qualifications, Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • To have a relevant post graduate qualification and be a registered health professional
  • Experience in adult based teaching and learning activities
  • An understanding of the consumer experience in aged care is highly desirable
  • Current knowledge of and commitment to obtaining the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument
  • Knowledge of the legislative requirements relevant to aged care including Aged Care Act 1997
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the implementation of continuous improvement activities in large scale projects
  • High level management competence in care leadership, organisational system development and operational management
