Juniper is now looking for an experienced Aged Care Manager to lead our Transition Aged Care Facility. Juniper Charles Jenkins provides services and accommodation to older adults awaiting permanent placement to residential care, or a return to health to enable them to live independently again in the community. Located in Bentley this fully refurbished facility provides for up to 60 individuals requiring additional care and support as part of their discharge from hospital.

Reporting directly to the Area Manager - Coastal, the purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of transition care, in line with Department of Health standards. Critical to this role will be the ability to manage a very high volume of admissions, while working closely with residents' families.  Managing a site budget, physical assets and staffing will also be a key part of this role.

You will be a valued part of the Juniper leadership team and be able to both demonstrate and develop your skills in a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Effective workforce and HR Management (rosters, staff management and performance).
  • Managing clinical and corporate risk minimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Planning, monitoring and controlling finances to meet budget
  • Managing and developing motivated and productive employees.
  • Managing a high volume of new admissions.
  • Developing and maintaining site management, and administrative systems within Juniper objectives and policies.
  • Maintaining compliance with Occupational Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.

 Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Formal qualifications in business, health or business management (highly desirable).
  • Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission requirements and Aged Care Standards.
  • Knowledge of the funding and legislative requirements relating to Transition Care and the Not for Profit sector.
  • Highly developed budgeting, financial planning and management experience.
  • Significant leadership and people management experience with the ability to develop and influence others and effect change within an organisation as required.
  • Experience in the use of appropriate information management systems to enable effective reporting and inform decision making.

 Skills: 

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated time management skills, ability to be resourceful and use own initiative.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills.
