Position Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint a health professional for the role of Learning and Innovation Advisor, based at our Juniper Annesley site in Bentley.

 

What’s on Offer:

  • A part-time role of 32 hours per fortnight that will utilise your clinical and training skills within a Teaching Nursing Home environment
  • Access to salary packaging of up to $15900

In this part-time role you will build staff capability and performance through involvement in education, research & innovation initiatives. You will also oversee student placements at the site, fostering successful discipline-specific and inter-professional clinical learning to develop practitioners of the future. 

 

We are searching for someone who will continue to develop Annesley as a Centre of Excellence and enhance its role as a Teaching Nursing Home for Aged Care.

  

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Establish and promote evidence-based inter-professional practice and develop staff capability through education, research and innovation
  • Foster student discipline-specific and inter-professional clinical learning supported by staff mentorship, in partnership with external stakeholders and relevant Tertiary Institutions
  • Develop Juniper Annesley as a Centre of Excellence in aged care
  • Liaise with relevant education providers and maintain accurate data to promote safe and effective clinical placements and learning opportunities for students and staff
  • Lead the design and implementation of research, innovation and learning strategies

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Registered Health Care professional
  • An understanding of adult learning principles
  • Previous experience in teaching, coaching & mentoring multi-disciplinary teams of staff, students and others
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, internal & external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in change management and innovation in training practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care regulatory environment including Accreditation Standards
Selection Criteria Desirable: Previous experience with facilitating learning opportunities for staff and students. Previous experience in health research
