We now have an opportunity available for an experienced Cook to join the team in the kitchen at our Juniper Korumup aged care home, located in Albany, WA.
The purpose of this role is to prepare high quality, nutritious meals to meet our residents’ special dietary requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of meals is maintained at a high standard and that a safe food service is provided.

On offer is a casual position, working various hours and shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities of this role:.
- Preparing and cooking high quality, nourishing meals for our residents
- Monitoring all practices within the kitchen to ensure safe food handling and infection control procedures are being adhered to
- Ensure all areas of the kitchen are cleaned to the highest standards
- Compliancy with Juniper’s Occupational, Safety and Health requirements
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
- Trade certification or experience in a commercial cooking environment and/or aged care catering is required
- Basic knowledge of dietary nutrition for the aged is preferred
- Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing, and stock control of food
- Competent in using Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and interpersonal skills
- Empathy for elderly residents
