We are now seeking to appoint an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Home Care team and provide a high quality therapy service within our Clients' own homes. You will be required to use your own vehicle to conduct home visits working in line with a pre-determined care plan as set by our Physiotherapy team. It is essential that you are an experienced Physiotherapy Assistant, have an energetic and motivated outlook, can build rapport quickly with clients and family members.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Assist clients with individual and pre-determined exercise programs
  • Contributes to the evaluation of care plans
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and balanced activity programs which meet the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of our residents
  • Assists therapists in maintaining/improving residents’ functional independence
  • Completes therapy statistics on a daily basis
  • Provides feedback to therapists on outcome of interventions

 The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Completion of a Certificate III in Allied Health
  • Experience working as a Therapy Assistant / Physiotherapy Assistant (highly desirable)
  • Experience working in the Aged Care Industry, in either community or residential
  • Sound computer skills and experience using client databases (Comcare, iCare, Procura etc.)
  • Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, families and service providers
  • Valid WA Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
