We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team, based at our Day Therapy Centre in Dianella. The Physiotherapist will assist in meeting the care needs of Juniper Community clients who reside in the northern suburbs and are eligible to access the Day Therapy program. The DTC program is soon to move to our new Chrystal Halliday facility in Karrinyup.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing Physiotherapy assessment, treatment, care and advice to our clients. The overall aim is to enhance or maintain the quality of life of our clients in the community.

On offer for the successful candidate is a permanent part time role, working every Tuesday or Wednesday totalling 15 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating individual and group physiotherapy needs.
  • Implementing mobility programs to meet individual needs of clients.
  • Supporting the maintenance of restoration of the clients’ independence
  • Establishing rapport and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Contribute to team development, implementation, review and evaluation of physiotherapy programs.
  • Data entry, reporting and maintaining accurate client information.
  • Supervision and effective leadership of Therapy staff.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science, Physiotherapy and current registration with the Physiotherapists’ Registration Board of WA.
  • Previous experience working in Aged Care or Community Day Therapy will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in effective supervision and performance management of staff.
  • Demonstrated skills in coordination and running of individual and group programs within a strict funding environment.
  • Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health requirements in caring for the elderly in the community.
