Position Summary

We are currently seeking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join our experienced Training and Development team in the role of Training Consultant - Clinical. This is a permanent part time position supporting our current Training Consultant - Clinical.

The successful applicant will work one day a week, some flexibility around which working day will be required along with the ability to travel throughout the Perth metropolitan area. There may also be a requirement to travel to rural and remote locations to deliver training, along with the ability to work outside of core business hours.

You will thrive in this role if you have an excellent understanding of nursing within an aged care setting, together with presentation, research, written and technical skills in order to meet the training needs of staff with varying backgrounds and learning styles.

 Key Responsibilities of this role: 

  • Coordinate,  implement and evaluate staff development initiatives based on identified needs and strategic plans
  • Ensure clinical training is of a high quality, flexible and appropriately provided across all areas of Juniper
  • Assist in the development of all relevant policies and procedures relating to training and development
  • Establish and maintain relevant industry networks and contacts
  • Support those providing training at sites through the provision of relevant resources, training and facilitation assistance
  • Review  and assist with the documentation associated with clinical competency based assessments on sites


The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: 

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Essential)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or comparable, demonstrated experience (Essential)
  • Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or community services (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating, coordinating and conducting training in a wide range of clinical topics
  • Ability to coordinate simultaneous training programs including the planning, delivery, evaluation and assessment processes
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous experience in using iCare (highly desirable)
