A rare and exciting opportunity now exists to join Juniper's leadership team in the capacity of Area Manager. Juniper is a multi-award winning aged care provider.

In this role, you will bring together your flair for management and your well established understanding of Aged Care Standards and legislation, accreditation processes, funding and best practice to lead the broader management team in a region.

To be successful in this position you will be a highly experienced leader, with the ability to build and maintain relationships, with a wealth of experience within aged care that you can draw upon in order to make sound decisions. You will be passionate about continuous improvement, embracing the challenge of delivering a person centred, enabling model of care, whilst ensuring resources are utilised effectively and efficiently.

This role is based in Balcatta with travel across the Perth Metropolitan area and some travel to country facilities. If you believe you have the skills, experience and knowledge to oversee the operations of a group of care facilities, we are keen to receive your application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership to the Residential Managers in an area to support the delivery of services to residents, families and staff.
  • Provide leadership and expertise with the financial management of each facility via the two key areas of income and expenditure.
  • Provide leadership, practical assistance and support to successfully manage ACFI and rostering.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation and improvement of service delivery in each of the designated facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.
  • The ability to travel across metropolitan and country locations as required.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Significant experience in managing a large business unit or area, within the Aged Care sector.
  • A Nursing or Business qualification.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Previous experience in planning and implementing change.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communications skills and an ability to convey ideas in both forms.
  • Experience in contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of business and financial plans. 
  • Understanding of the funding and legislative requirements relating to the aged care sector.
  • Experience in the use of appropriate information management systems to enable effective reporting and informed decision making.
