As the General Manager Home and Community Services, your extensive leadership experience and business development focus will enable you to drive growth of Juniper’s Home Care business unit. Reporting to the Executive Director Operations, this key position will work closely within a broader leadership team and have opportunities to influence the future direction of Home and Community services within Juniper.

A thorough understanding of Home and Community Care, and an ability to maintain a best practice and contemporary approach will be of great interest to us. A working knowledge of relevant legislation and strong financial management will be essential to your success. You will also be able to harness business development and marketing expertise to create new business opportunities via strategic partnerships and funding.  

In this role, you will ensure consistent delivery of care, based on the enablement philosophy and consumer directed care model. You will lead in a manner that demonstrates, and evokes in others, Juniper’s core values of Respect, Compassion, Hope and Welcome. You will also champion continuous improvement across all relevant processes, procedures and practices.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience required:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications relating to the delivery of human services and management.
  2. Previous senior management experience leading aged care, health or community services in a large organisation.
  3. Demonstrated success in building successful relationships or partnerships with diverse communities in the aged care, health or community services sector.
  4. An ability to develop a culture of performance and service delivery that aligns with Juniper’s values and mission.
  5. Proven skills in managing large numbers of professional staff in a changing environment.
  6. Solid financial management experience.
  7. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey ideas and influence people. 
  8. Highly developed conceptual, analytical and strategic planning skills.
  9. Demonstrates a range of capabilities in areas such as commercial acumen, financial competence and business performance reporting to ensure sound decision-making.
  10. Has achieved positive results by successfully leading and coaching people through organisational change and supporting and fostering the development of individuals.
  11. Builds effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders, colleagues and subordinates, embodies camaraderie, works successfully with diverse groups and builds the desired culture.
  12. Constantly seeks, explores and drives new and innovative ways to do business using creative solutions, calculated risk taking, new technologies and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
