  • Attractive remuneration level between $111,000 and $117,000 (approximate market value which includes salary packaging options and superannuation)

Due to an internal transfer, an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager is needed at our Juniper Annesley aged care home, located in Bentley Western Australia.  Leading by example, you will provide a resident focused approach, which is passionate and nurturing. This focus will extend to interactions with family members where concerns are addressed not only in a timely manner, but also with empathy and warmth. This role will see you partnering with the Residential Manager to lead teams, champion quality, promote best practice and excel in clinical outcomes.

You will be responsible for clinical leadership, coordinating resident care and facilitating the provision of person centred services at the site. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including allied health practitioners, to ensure all services are provided in a manner that recognises the importance of enabling residents to maintain their quality of life and exercise their rights as individuals.

Annesley is a teaching aged care service. This involves a partnership with Curtin University to lead ground breaking research and prepare the workforce of tomorrow. The site comprises 64 general rooms and 40 dementia specific rooms. Attractive features include an on-site cafe with alfresco area, hair salon, therapy room, spa bath and a chapel for quiet reflection and services.

The successful applicant will be appointed to a full time position, working Monday to Friday, within the core business hours.  Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Comprehensive clinical assessment and review of residents' care needs
  • Provide leadership and promote a collaborative approach to clinical and care staff to ensure delivery of person-centred care
  • Actively supporting and working cohesively with the clinical care team
  • Support the Residential Manager in identifying training needs and performance management of clinical and care staff
  • Facilitate and coordinate the admission process for new residents
  • Review ACFI appraisals prior to being submitted to Medicare, analysing and reporting any anomalies to the Residential Manager

 The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Previous experience leading clinical and/or care teams (essential)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of evidence based clinical and care practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement, accreditation requirements, ACFI funding requirements and documentation
  • Proficiency in assisting with visits from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and liaising with the Commission team members in administering their requirements
  • Experience with clinical problem solving and a commitment to delivering high quality, resident focused care
